CXMT surges over 450 percent, becomes China’s top listed AI memory chipmaker
On July 27, 2026 shares of ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) soared more than 450 percent in their Shanghai STAR Market debut, briefly making the DRAM maker the most valuable company listed on mainland Chinese exchanges. The IPO raised at least 8.6 billion dollars and underscores how AI driven demand for memory chips is boosting China’s efforts to build a self sufficient semiconductor stack.
